Cut outs start at $500.00

Price varies due to complexity and time in each instance. We do try to keep removals as cost friendly as possible.

Our main objective is to save the bees and relocate them to a safe haven.

What is the difference between a swarm and a cut out?

A swarm is a cluster of bees hanging on a branch, fence or other object.

A cut out is a bee colony that has made a home inside of buildings or trees.

Cut outs can take many hours to remove, this is why they are not free like swarm removals.

How are cut outs done?

If you have an established colony in a building these require cutting the bees out by opening up the wall, floor, ceiling or tree. Once the bees are exposed, they are safely vacuumed with a special bee vaccume that does not harm the bees, the comb is then removed. The bees are taken to our apiary where they are given a hive to live in, if there is brood comb- comb that has baby bees that have not yet hatched that is savable, it is put in frames and placed into the hive for the bees.

Please note; We are not carpenters and do not replace nor make repairs after removals are done.

Please also be aware that there will always be a few bees remaining after any removals or rescues!

foragers and scout bees travel miles looking for food and or a new place to call home, often returning at dark.

"Bee" Identification is important!

In late summer and fall we receive numerous calls for "bee removals"

these are often yellow jackets, hornets and wasps which require an exterminator.

We do not offer services to remove these types of insects. As organic beekeepers, we do not carry insecticides that are often required in the eradication of these often considered pests.

For the safety of the those who have found the need to remove them, we suggest you contact a professional exterminator.
